Brief Answer:
Aspirin is necessary / statin needs consideration

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Ecosprin- AV contains aspirin and atorvastatin.
He should not discontinue aspirin.
Atorvastatin is the one that can cause muscle pain… / His dose of atorvastatin is rather small – it is up to 80 mg! See his doctor, get blood tests like blood test (CPK etc) urine test etc. to make sure there is no severe muscle damage. His Lipid profile needs to be checked again - LDL & HDL cholesterol, Triglyceride etc..

If it is truly troublesome, one can reduce the dose or stop statin / Can substitute statin with fibrate
May add clopidogrel to aspirin for further action against platelets
The treating doctor alone could conclude better based on total clinical picture…

See a dietician – modify the quantity & quality of food. Weight is like bank account – reduces by withdrawing more (physical work) and/or deposit less (eat less).

Good luck
God bless you
