Because of the devastating effect they have on me. The cold sweating fast heartbeat, and breathlessness. This cannot be healthy.

Have I had a reply to my need for a laxative that will treat me more kindly? I was recommended to try Fybogel, I took half a satchel on Monday (no more laxative since then) and up to this morning I am still having thin coils of sticky Bowel movements with the cold sweating, I mean my body is freezing and my blood pressure at 9.15am was 152/76 pulse 54 at 10.10am after opening bowels. Blood pressure was 159/92 pulse 68 and then at 10.45am 140/68 pulse 55. And now at 11.05am my body temperature is returning to normal.

Isapghula husk is what was recommend to me by the first doctor I spoke to on this site. At the chemist when I asked for Isapghula husk I was given Fybogel containing 3.5g.Isapghula per satchel, as I has never tried this laxative before I only took half a satchel on Monday 8th and since then I have had loose stool sometimes twice or three times a morning with all the usual symptoms ice cold sweating Etc on Thursday 11th I also became breathlessness and the Ambulance took me to the local hospital where they ran a barrage of tests to ensure that my heart and lungs were working as well as expected and by 6pm I was well enough to go home where on Friday Saturday and Sunday I suffered the same symptoms! So again I ask can no one advise me and recommended a gentle laxative.

Hi,
I think u were given a different version of isapghula.
Anyways it would be safer to use natural laxatives like bananas .
Also , your condition might have been caused by release of constipation that may have triggered a vasovagal attack.
Still better to try natural laxatives like banana.
