Question: my daughter age 19, fit and healthy university student has had sudden onset of weakness on right side of face accompanied by numbness and heaviness in corresponding right hand. couldn't coordinate to write and when she did writing of terrible quality. No weakness in lower limbs, speech normal, no droop in side of face. Currently studying for exams. Had eaten withing previous 3 hours. 2 hours on from initial event feels XXXXXXX a bit better" but "still a little strange". Can you help please?

Based on your details your daughter has R) facial and R) upper limb weakness with incoordination and numbness of 2 hours duration.

These means she has R) Faciobrachial monoparesis of 2 hours duration.
Two condition in her case Acute stroke involving L) cerebral hemisphere,other possibility is demyelination both are treatable in early stage.Don't worry


You need to take her immediately to emergency department because she is in the window period of stroke where CT scan can be done and planned for further management.If needed MRI brain also required A neurologist to be seen as early as possible.Don't waste time.
