Question: Stress, anxiety, anger, thought stopping effort and panic attacks causes liquid flowing sensations above and around penis, prostate and scrotum area. It happens randomly and causes severe stress, worry, doubt and depression. Is the liquid flowing sensation blood, urine or something else? Please explain in detail why and how this happens. See image of the area where the sensation is felt. I m severe ocd and repelled by even the slight idea of sementic fluid flowing sensation of any kind so hope it's not that as I m on cyproterone acetate. I also get weird strange pressure feeling too in testicle, prostate and scrotum area when I m angry, panicky, stressed and severely depressed. Please advise and explain. Please help and calm me down. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Probably stress-related symptoms, follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to stress and anxiety.

Stress has a mechanism which increases the secretion of mucus in all the glands of the body including urethra.

I would recommend you to take medications to treat anxiety such as SSRI group of medications (eg.Escitalopram).

This is a prescription medication used for temporary relief.

You should consult your doctor before using it.

I would also recommend psychological counselling as a good way to treat anxiety.

I suggest you take care of yourself, eat healthily and exercise daily.

Hope I have answered your query.

Hi again,

Thank you for your follow up query.

I confirm that your symptoms are related to stress.

Stress has its own mechanism of increasing the mucus in the system.

I recommend visiting a psychiatrist to help you with your diagnosis.
