Should One Avoid Folic Acid Consumption While Having Gene Mutations During Pregnancy?

Question: hello, I am 5 weeks pregnant and I have MTHFR and PAI mutations. my doctor recommanded me to take folic acid, however I read it should be evoided during MTHFR pregnancies. what do you think? what should I do?
