Brief Answer: at present little relief Detailed Answer: Hello Unfortunately little intervention can be done while she is pregnant. Degeneration and arthritis are both conditions that have no permanent treatment protocol. Only calcium supplements and arthritis medicines can help but only after delivery. I assume she is taking calcium supplements already. Physio therapy can be done to relieve pain. Yoga can also help. Pre natal yoga classes are useful . Apply hot fomentation. After delivery do an x-ray. Vitamin d injections will help but after delivery. At this stage in pregnancy not much can be done except pain medication. But that will only mask the problem. High grade pain killers like oxycodone etc are not recommended now .
