Question: My wife was diagnosed with uterine fibroids around two years back. Heavy bleeding during the period happens, with around requirement of 4 pads a day. The bleeding is accompanied by severe pelvic pain, which is increasing day by day. I did a fresh MRI and report is attached. Kindly analyze the findings from the report. Also, Can you suggest for this Uterine fibroid embolization or myectomy, which one will be appropritate. I have also done the routine blood test as suggested by doctor, kindly have a look into that as well. Both MRI and BLOOD reports attached.

Brief Answer:
Myomectomy advisable

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have reviewed the reports. MRI shows a significant submucosal fibroid, which is the cause of heavy menstrual bleeding. Heavy bleeding has led to decreased hemoglobin levels which is evident in the hemogram report. Blood sugar levels and thyroid levels are normal. In this scenario, myomectomy is advisable, preferably by hysteroscopic route.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Thanks a lot for your response. Is there any concern from the blood test report, that we should be worried?
