My Eyes Seemed To Be Moving Slower Than My Brain When I Feel Zoned Out What’s Going On

Question: I always feel a little “out of it”. Kind of “zoned out”. I went on Adderall and for a few hours, that feeling went away. Same thing happened the next day. Then it came back. I told someone that my eyes seemed to be moving slower than my brain when I feel zoned out, if that makes sense. They said maybe I have fluid in my ears, so I took some Sudafed and I felt better. Any idea what’s going on would really be appreciated.

Is there any nausea or vomiting. Any spinning sensation or vertigo? Are you on medication right now? Any ringing sensation or fullness of ear?

No nausea or vomiting or ringing in the ears. No fullness in the ears. Spinning sensation/ vertigo yes definitely. That’s really the problem. I am on Lamictal and Celexa. I also had a gastric bypass, so I take vitamins for that.

Hi,
Symptoms are suggestive of vertigo, however other causes must be ruled out.
You have to get a complete blood work up to rule out anemia and vitamin B-12 deficiency which is quite common after gastric bypass.
Ear related problems can cause similar symptoms and in that case you have to consult an ENT specialist for a detailed ENT evaluation.
