Posted on Sat, 26 Oct 2019
Question: My doctor say I had thick tissue around my uterus so he scraped it out, I’m not sure what that mean, I hope that does not mean I won’t be able to get pregnant in the future. It happened so fast and now I’m really concerned.

Brief Answer:
Upload other documents and biopsy of the tissue removed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

The explanation you give of your situation makes me understand that you are having thickening of the inner lining of uterus (there is no conditions that cause thickness around uterus).
If you have any test results or papers from hospital or your doctor which explain the conditions of your uterus or procedure you had you can upload them for me in reports. Also the tissues removed should have been done biopsy and ifs result is very important to evaluate your condition.
A total evaluation of uterus and ovaries and overall health can determine the pregnancy possibilities in future.
Endometrial hyperplasia is characteristic of menopause but also can happen in young females that are obese or have hormone imbalance and estrogen predominating.
The studies have shown a decreased fertility rate in women with endometrial hyperplasia in young age.

Hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
Additional information needed, please ask your doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
Additional information is necessary. An ultrasound before the procedure and all other tests.
Also explanations of the procedure how it is done and what was removed is necessary. Please ask the doctor who did the procedure, as soon as possible, to give you the documents otherwise we can't guess anything.
