Question: My Brother is diagnosed with HIGH GRADE "B" CELL NON HODGKINS LYMPHOMA OF PANCREAS with DUODENAL INFILTRATION.
He was undergone 5 chemo's and suddenly today when he supposed to undergo 6th chemo he was having double vision. He is seeing two objects instead of one object and if he closes his one eye he can able to see as one object and if he seeing with two eyes, he is seeing two objects. After 5 chemo's the PET scan shows infiltration has been cleared. Can you please advise is this problem of double vision will get rectified?

Brief Answer:

Apply artificial tears to hydrate eyes

Detailed Answer:

Hi

Double vision after chemotherapy is a common side effect.

Since your brother has undergone chemotherapy for HIGH GRADE "B" CELL NON HODGKINS LYMPHOMA OF PANCREAS with DUODENAL INFILTRATION and is facing double vision i would advise him to apply artificial tears to hydrate eyes, clean eyelids with warm water and baby shampoo, apply a warm washcloth to eyelids and use bright light when reading

It will get rectified within 1 month after completion of chemotherapy

Yes he can undergo chemotherapy

Thank you very much for prompt reply sir,

Is there any chance that this problem last longer? Any other precautions we need to take apart from the suggestions you have given?

Will this symptom gives any other indication of the treatment i.e good or bad?

Brief Answer:
Dexona a temporary solution

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Dexona contains steroid which will reduce the inflammation in the brain and vomiting which occurs after cancer spread to brain but will not cure or control it

It is a temporary solution

So he must receive radiation to brain

Hi Sir,

Sorry for asking multiple questions, Our doctor has prescribed Injection called "Dexona" for four days and then he asked us to come back. Do you think going with injection instead of radiation will help the patient? Attaching the neurologist report and medicine for your reference. Up to now no one suggested for radiation, So got very much confused after your suggestion. I hope you understand my questions are coming from tension and sorrow. Please share your suggessions.

Thanks,
Bala
