Question: For a female, age 30 who has recently had problems with what appears to be RLS, she is very anemic and was started on Anafranil which is finally helping with her OCD, what would you recommend?

Iron deficiency and/or anemia is one of the main conditions that is related to restless legs syndrome.

So, treating the anemia and iron deficiency is the right way in this case.

I believe, folic acid should be added to anemia treatment.

Since anafranil is improving OCD symptoms too, I don't recommend any change in treatment.
