Is taking Oxycodone-Acetaminophen safe while having back inflammation?

default
Posted on Wed, 12 Jul 2017 in General Health
Question: Can I take an oxycodone-acetaminophen 5-325 within an hour of taking a dexamethason 4mg tab roxane? I thought I was experiencing some inflamation in my back (strained muscle) but is probably another kidney stone starting to pass......I was just to the ER earlier this week for kidney stones. They also gave me Flomax. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
If is safe to take Oxycodon-acetaminophen following dexamethasone

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic

It is safe to take Oxycodon-acetaminophen following dexamethasone.
However, dexamethasone can mildly reduce levels of oxycodon and slightly reduce its pain relieving action. You can repeat the dose on 4-6 hours.
Continue using Flomax.Drink plenty of fluids to help flush the stone out.
While urinating, watch to see if you pass the stones.

Hope this answers your question
