Brief Answer:
depends on dose and duration of brintellix.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.

Switching between antidepressants is always an option.
But I would like to tell you that antidepressant drugs take atleast 1-2 weeks to show their effect.

Abrupt switching can cause withdrawal symptoms.
It depends on how much dose of brintellix you were taking and since how long?
Have you used effexor before?

The answer to these questions will help me to guide you more appropriately.

In the meanwhile, you can take benadryl (available as OTC) for temporary relief of anxiety. This drug has some decent anti-anxiety effects but has side effect of sedation.

You can also try relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation.

It would be great if you can reply back in follow-up, with the answers to above question.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Take care.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
can switch from brintellix to effexor.

Detailed Answer:
If it has been just 4 weeks of 10mg brintellix, in my opinion, you can switch to effexor 37.5mg.
There should not be any problem in this.

But please note that effexor might need some time to show its effects again, as you have been off effexor for more than 4 weeks now.

The positive point here is that as you have responded to effexor in past, this drug should suit you now as well.

Please try to keep you doctor informed about these changes.

Hope you get well soon.

Take care.
Thanks.
