Is Spleen Removal Necessary Inspite Of Having Injury?

Question: lacerted my spleen 13 months ago said grade 3 sent me home said would heal with time was going to remove but no insuranse. Now hurts when i breath same spot lifted something heavy at work 3 days ago

Thank you for posting in health care magic.

I prefer not to remove Spleen which was injured 13 months ago.
Delayed rupture of spleen is described after 14days only.

Though Spleen is located beneath the ribcage on the left side, musculoskeletal pain in that area cannot be attributed to spleen.

Anyhow, it is better to consult your doctor and get checked and investigated.Simple investigation like Ultrasound abdomen will give a clue.If it is inconclusive, you can ask for CT Scan abdomen.

If you come back with reports, I will clarify further.
