Posted on Thu, 15 Jun 2017
Question: My daughter in law wants to have a baby but her periods are irregular. Sometimes she has a gap of 30 days other times up to 45 days. When I queried my doctor about this she said that she is not ovulating. Is this possible?

Brief Answer:
Tests required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Anovulatory cycles are possible. This can only be confirmed by serial ultrasound scan examinations.

I suggest let her undergo follicular growth scan to assess ovulation.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
