Is Pregnancy Possible Through Pre-ejaculatory Fluid?

default
Posted on Wed, 1 Jul 2015
Question: Hi doctor
I was indulged with my gf in foreplay. She became too excited and wanted me to penetrate her. I just for the sake inserted a quarter of my penis into her vagina and stopped. Then i took it out. I was not wearing any condom. My penis was dry before inserting. Since some studies indicated the presence of sperms in precum. So are there any chances of her getting pregnant? She was in unsafe period of the cycle. Should she take precautionary measures like ipill? What will be the effects of taking ipill on her body? Are there any long lasting adverse effects? She is 21.

Brief Answer:
It just needs one lucky sperm cell for pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Since you already read that pre-ejaculate contains few sperms cells and it just requires one male sperm to meet the egg of the woman to fertilize. Though the chances of pregnancy are very low but not nil. If you are too scared off getting pregnant I suggest to wane it off with ipill. Ipill will delay the periods and later the periods may become irregular for one month and then normalcy occurs.

No long lasting effects are observed with Ipill. It is relatively very safe. But if you plan to intercourse frequently I suggest to opt for regular contraceptive practice like condom, OCP etc.

All the best.

Hi doctor
Precum contains sperm only when masterbated recently. I did release sperms three days ago and in between did urinate as well which clears the urethra of all sperms. Moreover i didnt insert my penis fully. It was only a little part. Are there still chances of any sperm getting in contact with vagina? My girl friend doesnt want pregnancy but also fears taking ipill due to its effects?

Brief Answer:
Chances of pregnancy are near to nil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I assert that the chances of pregnancy are very low to nil with this type of encounter. But as explained earlier it needs only one sperm that is not visible to naked eye. I have put the facts before you it is up to you to decide whether you take Ipill or not.

I clarified that Ipill is the safest emergency contraceptive on table. You can safely use it if you are too worried about pregnancy.
