Question: Hi doctor, i have a period for last month on feb 12 and i had unprotected sex at feb 16 / 17.. Is there any possibility to get pregnant..?? My period is delayed for past 9 days...pls suggest me.. I have tried urine test also it is negative only then whatvis the reason for the delay..??

There are negligible chances of pregnancy as you had sex in safe period. Negative pregnancy test also rule out pregnancy.

The delay in periods could be due to stress or hormonal imbalance. Have you had irregular cycles in past? Are you taking any medication?

In such cases, tablet norethistrone 5mg twice a day for 5 days can help to regularize periods. Consult your OBGYN for valid prescription.
