Is One Lotrel 10/40 Pill Sufficient To Regulate High Blood Pressure?
Question: I take high blood pressure medicine and the blood pressure has been normal unti yesterday when dealt with a serious situation. Should I drink my pill more than once a day. I take one pill of lotrell 10/40.

As apparent from your last question your blood pressure was 160/90mm of hg due to some very stressful situation other wise it was in control.
Stress and anxiety stimulates the autonomic nervous system in the body,which in terms increases the secretion of androgen hormones like serum cortisol and catecholamines released by adrenal glands.You need not to add any medicine for transient increase in blood pressure,As the stress will go away the transient increase in hormones levels will settle down and blood pressure will again return to normal on lortell 10/40.
Just drink a plenty of water,keep your mind calm ,take blood pressure recording twice a day for next three days,In case the blood pressure is high even after 3 days,a mild anti anxiety medication like clonazepam can be added in low doses for a week by your cardiologist.
