Brief Answer:
Its conclusive, you can move on

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

4th generation HIV test is considered by WHO to be conclusive if negative after 6 weeks of exposure. Experts recommend to test again at 3 months post- exposure After 3 months, the accuracy of this test is 99.9 %. This test needs to be repeated after 3 months in order to exclude confusion related with the window period of infection i.e the time from acquiring the infection to when it first becomes detectable. So yes, its conclusive and you can move on.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

thank you doctor. it wasn't a fourth generation test, it was a improved 2nd generation FDA approved home access test. At 91 days the generation doesn't matter correct?

Brief Answer:
Yes the generation matters

Hello again.

The fourth generation test is more reliable as compared to the 2nd generation test. To be sure and have peace of mind you can take one now.
