default
Posted on Sat, 2 Aug 2014
Question: i just read a report from a recent study (japan) of under 100 people that says people who are pre diabetic and ate this low charb (not very low charb) got much healthier and almost none of them became diabetic in the year of the study whereas the other group did poorly in almost all areas. Where can I get the info on that kind of diet? Or where can we go to get into that kind of study experience? thanks muuch

Brief Answer:
Low carb is good for pre diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir I can understand your concern. thete are many this kind of studies which showed that low carb diet is highly beneficial in slowing down the progression towards diabetes from pre diabetes
planning this kind of diet is very simple
the average carb content of our regular diet is 60 to 65 % of carbs which need to be reduced to 40%
By reducing the carb content of diet the insulin requirement can be reduced with this burden on beta cells can be reduced.

in planning this kind of diet the amount of refined sugars should be reduced to nil
empty calories should be avoided like cola
eating fruit is preferred than fruit juices
including foods containing soluble fibers like amylins and pectins is very important, like nuts and resins.
protein can be consed in moderate quantity as the conversion factor from protein to carb is only 56%....
