Question: Dear Doctor,

Is it safe to sunbathe while having a tooth infection/tooth abscess? Or could it worsen the condition?

Hello XXXXX. First of all thanks for approaching Healthcaremagic for your queries.

I read through your query and accordingly I must say that its fine to do sunbathe with abscess. But if I was your treating doctor I would suggest you to first get abscess removed and get the tooth filled then go for sunbathe. Sunbathe is done to keep your mind and body warm and calm,and in that time if you have pain and abscess it would be irritating to you. So I would suggest you to consider getting it fixed and then go and enjoy sunbathe. Nevertheless bathing in the sun has no direct effect on tooth abscess.
