Question: I have difficulty swallowing 60 mg capsule. been to er twice to remove capsule. today i opened capsule , mixed with food. is that ok?dexilant capsule 60mg

I would not advise doing so as it could decrease the efficacy of the medication.

A better alternative would be a dissolvable PPI such as Lansoprazole that you could put in your mouth and would dissolve instantly. Ask your pharmacist for such an alternative as they are readily available.
