Question: Do you think going from 0.5 mgs to 1.0 mgs of klonopin would help my hyperventilation better. I also take 90 mgs. Of nortriptylene with it.

I can understand your concern. Klonopin is Clonazepam and the drug is commonly used to relieve anxiety symptoms. The drug is also efficacious in habitual hyperventilation. So if your symptoms are persisting even with 0.5 mg Clonazepam then in my opinion dose incerease should help in your symptoms. Take the drug as per your prescribed dose only.

But for hyperventilation medicines can help only to some extent. Dipharagmatic breathing, respiratory muscle training coupled with medicines gives best results. Continue to practice breathing exercises and take medicines and you will see improvement.
