Brief Answer:
Yes, Cartigen Forte can be taken as a supplement.

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern regarding the safety of Cartigen Forte.

Cartigen Forte which contains Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Cholecalciferol, Calcium & other important minerals is used as a nutritional supplement and adjuvant therapy for painful joint conditions like osteoarthritis and rhuematoid arthritis.
Glucosamine helps in maintaining the elasticity of cartilage of joint and also helps to repair the damage caused by age related changes or disease to a certain extent.

Cartigen is also useful in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) due to deficiency of Vitamin D in chronic kidney disease.

However it is not helpful in reducing the knee pain. For the relief of pain drugs like Prednisoline & Leflunomide are found to be effective.

Hope this answers your query.
However, I shall be glad to attend any follow up query if you have.
Best regards.
