Is C-section Recommended When The Fetus Is Not Into Position For Birth?
Question: Hello doctor, my wife is running with 39th week. 31st dec is the due date. My question is about having c-section or normal. Doctor suggested to wait till 40th week. We have appointment on 22nd december, now my wife is having pain in lower abdominal part and in back. And seeing babys position doctor told to have possibility of c-section as baby is still at upper level. When she complains little bit i become confuse between doctors opinion for having c-section around 40th week. Whats uour suggestion. All the reports and all things are normal, even urin test has been performed as a check of urin infection for pain in lower abdominal. All reports are normal. I have faith in my doctor. He is really a good doctor, but this time assistant doctor has checked so want to have expert advice for the same. Other question is doctor suggested cycloform for pain relief, but she hardly takes just in a condition when she feels pain. Since 15th she took once only.

In case she has backache and lower abdominal pain at constant interval or there is excess of vaginal discharge then visit your doctor for examination otherwise visit on 22nd December only.
If the head is still high up then your doctor is right in warning you that there can be a need of cesarean section for that it is not necessary that you have to wait till 40 weeks.
If any of the above events like cyclical abdominal pain or watery vaginal discharge occurs anytime soon then you should visit your doctor for examination and may need immediate delivery too.
She can very well take cyclospas as and when needed as it is safe for both mother and baby.
