Question: My blood pressure is 148/52

My bottom is always about 80 to 100 points lower than the top. Is that a concern?

Brief Answer:
no concern

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have taken your blood pressure today and the diastolic number is 52. That is not a problem. This just tells me that during the resting phase of your heart beat the overall pressure is low and hence relaxed and healthy.

The top number is still a bit high with the goal being less than 140 but preferred less than 120 if possible.

At this point I would recommend low salt diet, loss weight if your are overweight and exercise daily.

I hope this answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
