Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The mother is contagious only if she got infected and you were in contact with her subsequently. Coxsackie viruses are found in the respiratory tract 3 weeks after infection and in feces up to 8 weeks after initial infection.

To prevent transmission, avoid respiratory contact and towel sharing. Proper hand washing also reduces transmission risk.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
