Brief Answer:
Taking it for two weeks is enough.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

You are having typical symptoms related to Nexium side effects like diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation and nausea.
I think taking Nexium for two weeks is enough and you can stop it avoid doing another week.
I think that you can also do helicobacter pylori test to check if this bacteria is the reason for your stomach pain and if you need antibiotics about it.
Avoid foods that can trigger your symptoms , acidic foods, fruit juices, sauces and spices.

Hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
You need to avoid certain foods.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
Carafate gives abdominal pain ,nausea diarrhea and constipation as well as Nexium.
Of course you should avoid certain foods which can trigger stomach acidity and make your situation worse such alcohol, coffee, fruit juices, sauces, tomatoes, spicy food etc.

Brief Answer:
You need to visit a specialist.

Detailed Answer:
I think you should visit a specialist to get tested for helicobacter pylori which can be the main cause of gastritis and gastric ulcera.
In case you have helicobacter pylori you should get treated with antibiotics and it will resolve this issue of heartburn and gastritis.
If you get treated you don't have to stay away from this foods for longer.
