I Was In The ER Yesterday For Stomach Pain, Back

default
Posted on Tue, 30 Oct 2018
Question: I was in the ER yesterday for stomach pain, back pain, nausea, vomiting and dizziness. They did a blood panel and checked for pancreatitis and kidney function which were all normal. They also did a urinalysis which was normal except for a high ketones count (14) and a high squamous epithelial cell count (20-50/hpf). I've managed to terrify myself looking on google and want to know if I should be worried about these results. Do the high squamous cells indicate cancer of any kind? They told me everything was normal and I probably have a stomach ulcer, and i can't get in to see my pcp for a couple of weeks.

Brief Answer:
Urinanalyse

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking

I will agree with your doctors. There is nothing to worry about kidney cancer. Those cells are part of our urinary sistem
I will suggest you to repeat the urinalysis after 1 month and to stay hydrated drinking a lot of water
