Question: I live in USA. I had two pfizer shots. Then I got Pfizer booster on sept 1, 2021. Now I am thinking of taking another booster on March 1. I had episodes of Vitiligo, hyperthyroid about 20 years back. I have chronic eczema but it is well controlled now. I have gastritis presently and also BPH but no other issues. I never caught coronavirus so far.
I have 4 dental appointments in second half of March. Then my daughters wedding for 2 days from April 11.
1) With these reasons, is it a good idea to take another booster on March 1.
2)Should I take a moderna booster this time.
3)Can the booster make my immune system go in overdrive and create some problems.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Take the booster dose

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but anticovid vaccine is not reported to have any negative side effects as regards vitiligo and hyperthyroidism, although being reported to cause gastritis to worsen in some patients.. However I would recommend that you take the booster dose in March as Covid infection risks outweighs risks of gastritis.. It is better to take the same type of vaccination as a booster dose. I hope you find this helpful

Thank you for your response.
You have suggested taking same type of vaccination as a booster dose. Please explain. I have read that moderna booster can be taken even though previous shots were Pfizer. Also moderna booster has shown better results. Please discuss. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, hello again.. It is true that you can take Moderna as booster dose after 2 Pfizer doses and it has shown very good results.. However since you have concerns about the response of your immune system, In my personal opinion it is better to take the same vaccination your body has already been exposed to with no concerning reactions or side effects.. I hope you find this helpful
