Brief Answer:
There is a small chance of getting pregnant

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. Missing two or more birth control pills does increase the risk of ovulation, especially in the first week of the cycle, so while I think the chances are overall low, there is a possibility you could have gotten pregnant, so I would wait 2-3 weeks, and if you haven't had your period on your pill-free week, check a pregnancy test then.

As for the bleeding, the major causes would be a cervical infection, cervical polyps, cervical cancer, and trauma from sex, which can cause bleeding from the other causes as well. As long as you are having regular pap smears that are fine, cervical cancer should not be a concern. It sounds most likely that this is just the lining of your cervix being damaged during sex and causing bleeding, but if you do have any abnormal discharge, fever, or pain, or if it seems to be getting worse, then I would get checked out for infection and confirm what the cause is.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions about any of that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
