I Have A Coil For Last 4 Years I’m 39
Question: I have a coil for last 4 years I’m 39 I’m always on time for my period I’m 8 days late I have bad pain in lower abdomen area and to my left side had pain for 5 days I’ve taken 2 negative tests.. I had an internal examination on the 14th Feb for something else and she couldn’t find or see my strings.. last time I had sexual inter course was 12th I’m freaking out as I have sore breasts going to the toilet a bit more frequently and bloated stomach thanks for your time

I read your query and here is my advice.
It is very unlikely that the coil will come out but since you had internal examination and nurse didn't found the strings you should have clarified that situation with the nurse if the coil was there or not. Since she didn't see the strings on 14 you should have used I pill and condoms for the other next occasions.
Now there is a very small risk of you being pregnant. You should do a pregnancy home test at least 5days of delayed period or better do a bHcg test.
Go again for vaginal examination with a doctor to clarify if coil is there or not.

I haven’t had sex since the 12th Feb.. I’ve done 2 home tests already...both negative... but it’s the pain I’m worried about this more I’ve had it for last 4 days all day and night they are pulling like when I was pregnant and a pain on my left side that’s stronger
