I Had Sexual Intercourse On Wednesday, October 14. Used A

Question: I had sexual intercourse on Wednesday, October 14. Used a condom but it came off during intercourse. Even though we did not continue, I took a Plan B the next day. We had sexual intercourse again on Saturday, October 17 and the same thing happened. I took another Plan B the next day. Both pills were taken within 24hrs of the occurrence. I am now having lower back pain similar to ovulation. Should I be worried about pregnancy? I took a test and it was negative but I’m sure it’s too soon to tell.

Brief Answer:
In your case you take within 24 hours so the chance of pregnancy is so low.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question. Hope I can be of help for you today. Plan B pill is containing a hormone called levonorgestrel. Its works best when you take within 3 days of having unprotected sex. In your case you take within 24 hours so the chance of pregnancy is so low. Things can happen after you take emergency contraception such as you get your period within a week of when you expect it. Do not be surprised if your period is a few days late. That's normal. But if you do not get your period within 3 or 4 weeks, you should get a pregnancy test. If you keep bleeding or have pain in your belly you should see a doctor.

I hope that I can help you, and please let me know if you have any clarification or question about that, and I would be welcome to discuss it with you further. I Hope your son has good health.
