Brief Answer:
Shortness of breath

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Regarding shortness of breath, you may get the basic tests done like ECG, pulmonary function test, chest XRay pa view, complete blood count and other tests under guidance of internal medicine specialist
Foods to be taken: If there is increased mucous then, warm or hot, light food, dry food like toasts, food cooked with less water, lightly cooked veggies, cumin, fenugreek, turmeric. If it is due to anemia then green vegetables like spinach can be taken.
Foods to be avoided in excess mucous are cold foods, sweets, pastries, cold milk. If it is due to asthma then asthma triggering foods (allergens) are to be avoided
How much walk or exercise: to be done within your limits. Breathing techniques in yoga will be of help to increase your lung capacity.

Hope this helps.
