Question: I am a 68 year old male. Back in 2012, upon an annual physical exam, my doctor noticed lympth nodes swollen all over my body. He said it might be an old virus so he prescribed an antibiotic. After two weeks they didn't budge so we did a biopsy both on one in the right groin and one in my left neck. Both were simply fatty nodules. He sent me to an oncologist, since I had so many and he did a complete body ct scan with contrast. He said I didn't have lymphoma and said I didn't need to take up his time away from real cancer patients. Now for the past year, I have developed even more lumps and especially in lower back left side and both arms in the bicep areas. I hurt so bad that yesterday I made a trip to the local ER and voiced my concern regarding the nodes. They did a ct scan with contrast and complete blood panel and said everything was fine. But I asked them why these nodes keep appearing and hurting. Therefore, I called the oncologist back whom I had seen in 2012 and they said that they could not see me since I had been dismissed without symptoms. I would need to go through my gp for another referral. I am on an emotional merry go round. Should I demand a PET scan this time? I am about to lose my mind. I also have felt lumps in my testicles but the urologist feels and says he feels NOTHING! He did an ultrasound and negative. But I feel them. I am NOT making it up nor crazy. He also says I need to see my gp. Help!!!

Back in 2012 I also was told that I had scarring in my liver at Vanderbilt. Yesterday they told me in the ER locally that my liver was imaged as normal. Whom do I believe??????? Said that liver emzymes were all good.

Brief Answer:
Fresh pet ct scan

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I have gone through your history

Since you are having lump all over body and some have increased now though biopsy was negative previously would advise you to do a fresh Pet Ct scan to rule out cancer

If pet ct detects anything suspicious of malignancy then go for fresh biopsy test
