Question: I AM 64 YEARS OLD, HAD MY CERVIX REMOVED 34 YEARS AGO, WENT THROUGH MENTOPAUSE IN MY 40sNORMAL EXCEPT BEING EARLY. A SLOW LESSONING OF DESIRE, A RATHER FAST DECRESE IN VAGINAL FLUIDS AND REALLY UNABLE TO GET INTO THE MOOD. MY PROBLEM AFTER ALL THESE YEARS IS NOW I HAVE PAIN IN THE AREA OF THE LEFT FALOPION TUBE. IT STARTED OUT LIKE A PAIN WHEN I WAKE UP AND DRAW MYLEG UP TO GETOUT OF BED WHEN I WAS ABLE TO SIT UP THE PAIN WOULD DISAPEAR AND NOT BOTHER ME AGAIN. RECENTLY I WAS HOSPITALIZED WITH SEPSIS, DUE TO "GAHL STONES MARCHING ACROSS MY GUT HEADING TO MY PANCRIASE" AFTER ALMOST 14 DAYS OF ANTIBIOTICS I AM HEALTHY AS A HORSE. NOW ABOUT 2 WEEKS INTO REHABING AT HOME THAT OLD PAIN IS COMING BACK WITH A VENGENSE, ESPECIALLY NOW THAT I NEED COMPRESSION STOCKINGS ON EVERY AM BEFORE MY FEET HIT THE FLOOR. AM I THINKING IN THE RIGHT BALL PARK?

Brief Answer:
Probably a blockage or inflammation of the fallopian tube.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

My name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

The pain in the area of Fallopian tube can be caused by many reasons.
It can be due to an inflammation of the area or a blockage of the tube.
Some examinations that I may recommend to confirm the diagnosis are:
-an ultrasound
-if we can not get enough information through ultrasound a hysterosalpingography may be needed. It is x-ray examination of uterus and Fallopian tubes.
-a complete blood count

Meanwhile some advice that I can give are:
-use painkillers like ibuprofen 400 mg for the pain
-use heating pads at the area
-continue using compression stockings

Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
