default
Posted on Tue, 17 Nov 2015
Question: I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 had a double mastectomy in 2012 have not done radiation or chemo. I had issues with various medications arimidex, anastrophe, and a few others by mouth meds. I have had multiple strokes and the medicine seemed to make me have tia's' My oncologist took various pics, blood and said I was cancer free a few months back. Then I went into respitory distress and am in chronic heart failure? I have oxygen. I suspect that I again have cancer but I believe it has spread to my lungs. My cancer doctor and I have issues should I see a pulmonary specialist?

Brief Answer:
Consult your pulmonologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

I have gone through your query in detail.

The possibility of pulmonary metastasis should always be ruled out in presence of chest symptoms.

Even though heart failure can cause similar symptoms, it is always advisable to rule out cancer recurrence via pet or a CT scan.

Consulting a pulmonologist wil be of greatest help.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
