Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for the query

The core symptoms of ADHD are: inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity.

Someone who has inattention is likely to be interpreted as having poor listening skills, difficulty starting a task, forgetfulness.

A combination of inattention and hyperactivity can result in prioritizing issues and hence disorganized work.

In addition, the behavioral and psychological reaction of care givers of such individuals with ADHD, would interact with these phenomena to aggravate the situation further.

For information, any ongoing stress in career, family or at work place, relationship and marital issues etc can give rise to such symptoms, too

If your diagnosis of ADHD is clear and is made by a psychiatrist, then below is the answer that might help you:

Usually, if the symptoms of ADHD are disturbing, medications like a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) example : atomexitine along with behavior therapy is always superior to either therapy alone.

The basic step and initial goal of behavior therapy is to decrease the undesired behavior by applying behavior therapy principles

The precautions I would suggest till such time is:

1. Do not get angry or respond to her anger out bursts
2. Ignore to her undesired behavior
3. Identify the triggers or situations that precipitate undesired behavior
4.Implement the things that help the betterment in such behavior, but within limits of reality

Hope this will help to some extent.

I am available for further discussion and wish you good luck.
