Brief Answer:
The best option for you is atypical anti psychotic or mood stablizers

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Considering your symptomatology there is possibility of three disorders
1. Intermittent explosive disorder
2. Bipolar affective disorder current episode depression
3. Major depression with atypical features

Since you are doing well with depression part we need to think about aggression part which could be due to any other things mentioned above.

In case aggression is part of depression (commonly irritability and aggression is part of depression) the most suitable option is mood stabilizer like lithium and divalproate sodium.

In second option generally lithium and divalproate sodium can be useful.

In case your aggression is part of bipolar disorder (first option) both mood stabilizers along with lamotrigine and second generation antipsychotics medication can be useful.

Since you are diabetic the first priority for you should be lamotrigine followed by quetiapine (second generation antipsychotic).

To decide origion of aggression it is better to consult with your doctor bout all three options.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards
