Brief Answer: VAriable and depends Detailed Answer: Thank you for asking XXXXX! Sensory pain syndrome AKA CRPS ( complex regional pain syndrome) RSD ( reflex sympathetic dystrophy) and Causalgia are due to quite of etiologies and their duration depends on the noxious agent and causative agent. I can be acute (lasting < 2 months) or chronic (>2 months). So expectation at two years is really a relative phenomenon and may not resolve completely but symptoms may diminish or reduce. But pharmacotherapies and compliance to them can make the outcome good.Anecdotal reports suggest that vitamin C can improve outcomes.. Also interventional procedures like Local anesthetic injections on the nearby ganglia to relieve the pain,Sympathetic ganglion blockage, IV phentolamine and ketamines can help this syndrome.Surgical sympathectomy is also an option. To know and assess your condition better , it needs a complete clinical correlation and that needs a team of following doctors. Pain specialists (this should be the consultation of choice) Physical medicine and rehabilitation Neurology Anesthesiology Psychiatry/psychology Neurosurgery I hope it helps.Dont forget to close the discussion please.
