How Long Does A Wound Near The Anal Area Take To Heal?

Question: Hi Team ,

I underwent Fistula in ANo with Suprasphincteric Abscess in Pace hospital near my Buttocks close to anal - and the wound is still in healing stage and I am travelling abroad on September 21st and I am worried if my wound will be healed by then . I have attached the wound to this query and please advise how long will it take to heal this wound and advice me if there any foods which can help in healing faster .

This picture was taken 3 days back and I will send you the latest pic shortly.

Hi.
Nice to read you again.
I would have liked to see the fresh photos of today.
Also noted Vitamin D deficiency- for better healing, Vitamin A and D levels should be normal.
You should also take Vitamin A twice daily for at least 3 days so that the Vitamin D is absorbed well and both work in unison.
You may use Liquid Povidone Iodine- Betadine locally 3 to 4 times a day to keep the area clean and sterile.
Use doughnut type pillows to alleviate the pressure from the peri-anal area as it helps in early healing.

Thank you for the reply and being very helpful .

I am following your instructions and doing sitz batch thrice a day.

Date of Surgery : September 3rd

Total number of days till today : 12 .

I have check the wound picture which is taken one hour back .

Medications Tried: Currently I am taking 3 - 4 times a day Sitz Bath . One time dressing a day.

Medical History: Non Diabetic and Low Vitamin D deficiency .

Current Medications: Vitamin D tablets 60000 IU and calcium tablets.

There is good contracture of the wound from within.
Healthy granulation tissues
Skin edge looks healthy and nicely approximating.
