Question: Hi we are planning for kid and doctor advised to take Injection HUCOG 5000 iu Intramuscular now as the Right sided follicle is 20 mm,
As far as I am aware this injection helps in producing the eggs
My question is within how many hrs injection is effective and till when it will last

We were asked to visit again tomorrow for follicilour test .
And what is progesterone? Is it a tablet?
And if we will be in contact for 2 to 3, will the sperm quality be good?

Hi, I think you can go for a scan tomorrow also, because your follicle is 20 mm and it can rupture anytime bh itself also. The injection is given just to make sure that rupture happens. Progesterone is a hormonal tablet. It is given to support the implantation. It comes by the manes like duphaston or susten. Susten is generally given as a vaginal tablet 200mg twice a day. Duphaston is given orally 10 mg twice a day. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Regarding the sperms quality, there is no issue with that because the first day contact will be enough to fertilise the egg.
