How Effective Is Tobramycin For Pseudomonas?

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Mar 2015
Question: I am currently taking tobramycin for pseudomonas. What is the likelihood this will help?. I have COPD as a result of having micobacterium Avium intracellulare 15 years ago. Also, what can help with the panicky feeling I get when I can't catch my breath, and feel as though I'm drowning? thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
there are medications

Detailed Answer:
Tobramicin is most efficient treatment for this kind of lung infection but treatment may be long and difficult. Some other macrolides can be used as well but tobramicin is best one and also if you want best results it should be combined with betalactam antibiotics and colistin inhalations if available at your place. for your other sYmptoms you can use ventolin or ipratropium inhalations and standard anxiolitics. Be on fresh air, avoid smoky rooms and breathe deeply as much as you can. During attacks try to sit down and relax. Wish you good health. Regards
