Brief Answer:
No reason to fear

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to HCM.

I understand your concerns about fear of death during labor.

I have delivered many women who have delivered more than 3 times and without complications.

Infact duration of labor decreases and your delivery process will be faster and less painful compared to previous pregnancies.

I don't see any reason to worry about death or any complications this time.

Just relax and take it easy.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Thank you for your response. I have never had any complications with gestational diabetes, high bloood pressure or anything. I have had two vaginal deliveries the first 8 hours and the 2nd 6 hours- this fear is just all consuming.

The fear was caused by reading about the amniotic fluid causing an embolism and its has a high mortality rate and this being my third pregnancy I am more nervous

Brief Answer:
Very rare

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Amniotic fluid embolism is a very rare phenomenon and does not occur very frequently.
It's more rare than a person dying in an accident while walking on road.

There is no reason to worry about such remote complications which rarely happen .

Don't worry yourself with unnecessary fear about complications which will never happen.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
