I was put on antibiotic and given cream nothing is helping.Had for two weeks and getting worse. Not running fever. Had for two weeks. appears white in middle more and more. Started as appearance of a cut.In August had another tiny cut in same area near opening of the vagina. Thought is was from a luffa sponge. Tested negative for herpes. Had normal paps in the past. Haven't had a pap in a year. I have history of hpv,(three years ago and genital warts just on anal area, 20 years ago. Have been under extreme stress.

Brief Answer:
Can be a genital infection.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The sore that you have can be a bacterial infection or related to HPV infection. This needs a direct examination and a few tests to confirm the diagnosis. Proper treatment can only be given on the basis of diagnosis. You may require antibacterial ointment and local hot compression to treat the condition. Other supportive treatments are also advisable.

In addition, you would maintain genital hygiene properly and wear loose fitting underwear (cotton). Do not scratch the area or wipe out. Avoid using chemical substances (soap/ detergent) around the genital area.

I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
A biopsy is needed.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Cancer is a possibility if the wound is gradually increasing in size and is painless. A biopsy of the wound margin is needed to rule out cancer.

Hope my answer is helpful.
