How Can A Painful Welt On The Leg Be Treated?

Question: I have a 2" diameter welt on my leg that showed up @ an hr ago and really hurts to touch. It is oozing clear liquid and lots of it although there are no visible lacerations. Any suggestions

As per the history that you have provided, this looks to be an insect bite with severe local reaction, not all the bites are painful, some are very painless depending upon the poison that the body comes in contact.
I would advise you the following:
Take an antihistamine like Benadryl, or Cetirizine.
Apply locally Povidone iodine to make the area sterile.
Consult a Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and prescribe you proper further medications such as an antibiotic, oral steroids and as the case may be.
