Detailed Answer:
Hi Srippeto ...
Welcome to Ask a doctor.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

Arrhythmias are irregular heart rate which may be caused by many different underlying factors, including:

Coronary artery disease.
Electrolyte imbalances in your blood (such as sodium or potassium). ...
Alcohol abuse
Diabetes
Drug abuse
Excessive coffee consumption(Caffeine)
Heart disease like congestive heart failure
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland)
Pathological mental overstress
Scarring of the heart,
Some dietary supplementsand herbal treatments
Some medications
Structural changes of the heart
Cardiomyopathy.

If an irregular rhythm, or atrial fibrillation, is triggered by an OTC preparation, it may persist for some period of time. But generally, it goes away on its own but if it does not, it can cause permanent damage to the heart over time.

The following are the possible risk factors for arrhythmia:
Old age
Genetics(inherited gene defects)
Heart problems
Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
Some prescription medications, and over-the-counter drugs
Hypertension
obesity
Uncontrolled diabetes
Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA which causes excess co2 accumulation in body which is arrythmogenic)
Electrolyte imbalances
Heavy and regular alcohol consumption
Hoo much caffeine
Irregular heart rhythms can also occur in "normal, healthy" hearts.

Work with your healthcare team and follow their instructions to control THE risk factors involved in your case :
like
Reduce high blood pressure.
Control cholesterol levels.
Lose excess weight.
Eat a heart-healthy diet.
Avoid tobacco smoke.
Enjoy regular physical activity.

Here I would like to know your thyroid status(TSH Levels),alvohol consumption and smoking history, your HTN and BSR status(If yes, whether tight control has been acheived),amount of physical activity you are in and your body weight.
This will help me to evalkuate the cause.

The following tests might be ordered for your evaluation:

Blood and urine tests
EKG (electrocardiogram)
Holter monitoring - a wearable device that records the heart for 1-2 days and detyects an abnormal beat.
2 D echocardiogram
chest X-ray
Tilt-table test
Electrophysiologic testing (or EP studies)
Heart catheterization.

Please revert with your elaborate history.

Stay healthy.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Over-the-counter (OTC) drugs are medicines sold directly to a consumer without a prescription from a healthcare professional, as opposed to prescription drugs, which may be sold only to consumers possessing a valid prescription. For example acetaminophen.I don't think that it applies to you.
It's good that your weight is optimum and you are physically active.
Please get your blood pressure checked periodically. It tends to rise with increasing age.
I hope that all the tests, you have been subjected to( sleep test, eco, heart scan, ekg, heart monitor) are normal.
Arrhythmia are triggered by anxiety. Please visit your clinician for revision of drugs and doses. You may need counseling.
De -stress yourself,do meditation, yoga.Learn abdominal deep breathing exercises.Avoid late nights and excess television.
Please get your Free T3 and Free T4 and TSH Levels checked.Thyroid levels is a contributing factor for both, anxiety disorder and arrythmias. You need to get your thyroid profile checked so that dose of synthroid can be titrated.
Cut down on your alcohol and smoking(if it applies).
Please get your fasting blood sugar checked to rule out diabetes.
Please procure your electrolytes(Na levels range from 135 to 145 mg/dl and k levels between 3.5 to 4.5 mg/dl).

If the problem continues, you may need evaluation in the form of Holter test and Electrophysiological profile, which are easily available at cardiac centers.
