RBC LOAD AND HAEMATOCRIT

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a doctor "service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

The nutrients which have been implicated in increasing RBCs and Packed cell volume are eggs, meat (specially organ meat),green leafy vegetables, nuts, beans, legumes, pomegranates and jaggery.

PCV is the ratio of RBCs to total blood volume of centrifuges heparanised blood.
You are right in that an increase in RBC Count should increase PCV but this may not always happen because it also depends on hydration status of the patient.
You can get the CBC repeated after 3 months.

Kindly share the weight,co morbidity and symptoms of your mother.
The investigations should always be read in context of patients clinical scenario and not in isolation.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
