Hi, I Am Currently Taking An Estradiol Estrogen Patch At
Question: Hi, I am currently taking an estradiol estrogen patch at a dose of.0375 mg/day to help manage my hot flashes. I am supposed to change it once a week, so using two patches per week. For the past two weeks, I have been trying to go longer without changing the patch. I have been using one patch per week instead of two.
I have been changing it every Monday. However, I have noticed on Tuesday mornings I have been nauseous and have a headache. Is this not a good idea to be using the patch this way? I am trying to use the lowest dose possible to help manage my hot flashes. Should I switch to a lower dose and use it the way it is supposed to be used at two patches/week? Or should I stick with the one patch per week?
