Question: Hi Doctor,
I have PCOS and I have been trying to get proper ovulatory cycles to get pregnant . I have made few life style modifications and I was successful in getting ovulation properly . But in a recent follicular study , we came to know that my endometrium is thin consistently. It is around 5-5.4 mm thick always(even on 14th day). What could be possible reasons for this? Also let me know cure for it. My gynac suspects it could be TB . Are there any symptoms for that?

Brief Answer:
Need endometrial biopsy to diagnose tb

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings
To diagnose tuberculosis we need to do an endometrial biopsy. It is quite common to see the thickness of endimetrium to be less in PCOS patients..But there are medicines which can increase endometrial thickness and given during stimulation.Latest studies shows that more than 7mm thickness on 14th day is enough. You can consult an infertility SPECIALIST.

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for the reply. My doubt is are they any other reasons for thin endometrium apart from TB? I have been consulting infertility specialist only . Just wanted to check other causes, reasons and symptoms.

Brief Answer:
HORMONAL imbalance

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Most common cause for inadequate endometrial proliferation is HORMONAL imbalance.
Your infertility doctor can identify it as she is doing your follicular study.
many drugs are used depending on the medicines you are taking.
signs and symptoms are of PCOS only ..nothing special in relation to endometrial thickness.
